Wordpress Installation on Localhost Wamp Server

Wordpress is free open source and CMS based on PHP and MySql. This is the most commonly used blogging tool.

10 Easy Steps to installation of Wordpress on Localhost

Step 1:-
Downloads the wordpress from the following URL:-

Step 2:-

Go to C drive->Wamp->www


Crete folder and unzip the downloaded code here and start your wamp server and open the folder

Click on create a Configuration File
Note: - I configured my wamp server on 8080 port number. Generally its 80.

Step 3:-
In this step its simply instruction what you have to do to install wordpress

Step 4:-

Create your database to store your data.  Open your phpmyadmin and create your database:-

I have created the database and give name wpexample.

Note: - this can be a first step too means before installing the wordpress you can create your database.

Step 5:-
After implementing the step 3 you will get the following window where you have to fill the complete detail

As we are working on localhost so I left the password. After filling the details kindly press the submit button.

Step 6:-
Now install the wordpress by pressing the button Run the install

Step 7:-
Now add your Website Title, your username using which you can log in the wordpress admin and create password and then press install wordpress button.

Now your wordpress has installed and you can log in by pressing the login button

Now enter your user id and pwd which you created at the time of wordpress installation
